Portraits celebrate Power of Food Festival, 18–28 September 2025
From mushroom growers in tower blocks to food co-op founders and community gardeners, a new portrait series is shining a spotlight on the Tower Hamlets people taking power into their own hands and creating the food systems they want to see.
The portraits, celebrating local food growers, organisers and cooks, launch as part of the Power of Food Festival – 10 days of free, community-led events showcasing the borough’s grassroots food movement (18-28 September).
